What To Expect

Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa

Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, enjoy a city tour depending on your landing time. Discover key landmarks before settling in for an overnight stay at Saphir Hotel.

Day 2: Addis Ababa to Chebera Churchura National Park

Depart in the morning via either the Addis-Jima-Ameya route or the Addis-Shashemene-So

do-Waka-Tocha road, stopping for lunch en route. Arrive at Chebera Churchura National Park in the late afternoon and enjoy an evening game drive to spot elephants. Overnight at Chebera Lodge

Day 3: Exploring Chebera Churchura National Park

Embark on a morning trek to the Meka and Erka Forests, where you may encounter African elephants, hippos, buffalos, and even big cats. After lunch, visit the hot springs, waterfalls, and small lakes for birdwatching. Overnight at Chebera Lodge.

Day 4: Chebera Churchura National Park Excursions

Head to Borbo Falls and Bulo Lake in the morning for more wildlife and bird sightings. After lunch, explore 80 km of rugged park terrain or trek along scenic footpaths. Overnight at Chebera Lodge.

Day 5: Maze National Park

Travel to Maze National Park, renowned for its population of the endangered Swayne’s Hartebeest. Spend the day exploring the park’s wildlife and landscapes. Overnight at Bekele Mola Hotel.

Day 6: Arba Minch & Rift Valley Lakes

Day 7: Awassa & Its Vibrant Fish Market

Day 8: Bale Mountains National Park

Depart for Bale Mountains National Park and visit the Gazel area and park headquarters at Dinsho, where you can spot Ethiopian endemic mammals and birds. Overnight at Bale Mountains Lodge or Wabi Shebelle Hotel.

Day 9: Sanetti Plateau Exploration

Spend a full day at Sanetti Plateau, seeking the elusive Ethiopian Wolf. Marvel at the breathtaking landscapes and the towering Mount Tulu Dimtu, Ethiopia’s second-highest peak. Overnight at Bale Mountains Lodge or Wabi Shebelle Hotel.

Day 10: Return to Addis Ababa

After an early morning trek in Sanetti, embark on the scenic drive back to Addis Ababa, stopping for lunch en route. Arrive in Addis and transfer to your hotel or proceed to the airport for your international departure.
