Embark on a 3-day adventure through Ethiopia’s breathtaking Simien Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Witness dramatic landscapes, deep valleys, towering cliffs, and encounter endemic wildlife like the Gelada Baboon, Walia Ibex, and Ethiopian Wolf. After breakfast at 8:30 AM, we drive from Gondar to Debark, the gateway to the Simien Mountains National Park. After completing park registration, we continue the drive to Sankaber, the first campsite.
Before reaching Sankaber, we take a short hike around the hills, where you will see large troops of endemic Gelada Baboons grazing on the grasslands. The landscape offers stunning views of deep valleys and dramatic escarpments.

After an early breakfast, we start our trek towards Chenek, the next campsite. This 5-6 hour trek is filled with spectacular scenery as we:
As we reach Chenek (3,600m), you may spot Walia Ibex, an endangered mountain-dwelling species found only in Ethiopia.

After breakfast, we take a final trek away from Chenek. If you’re very lucky, you may spot the rare Ethiopian Wolf, Africa’s most endangered carnivore.
Following the hike, we drive back to Gondar, marking the end of our incredible trekking experience.
