Trip Overview

Danakil Depression
One of the world’s most extreme and otherworldly landscapes—shaped by fire, salt, and sulfur over millions of years. It features Erta Ale, one of the few continuously active lava lakes, the vibrant hydrothermal fields of Dallol, salt flats, shimmering lakes, and traditional salt mining by the Afar people.

Tigray
The spiritual heart of Ethiopian Christianity, home to over 120 rock-hewn churches carved into cliffs and spires. Once the core of the Axumite Kingdom, Tigray is rich in legend and is believed to be the resting place of the Ark of the Covenant.

Omo Valley
Often called a living cultural museum, the Omo Valley hosts 16 diverse tribes. Their ancient traditions, rituals, and attire reflect Africa’s deep anthropological heritage and extraordinary cultural diversity.
