Day 1: Gondar to Sankaber
- Depart from Gondar or directly from the airport, depending on your arrival time.
- Drive approximately 136km to Sankaber, passing by the park head office in Debark to register and gather trek staff (scouts, guides, cooks).
- Trek for 3 or 4 hours, enjoying the splendid landscape and diverse flora along the way.
- Arrive at the Sankabar camp (3250m) and settle in for the night.
Day 2: Sankaber to Jinbar Waterfall and Return to Gondar
- After breakfast, begin a 2.5-hour trek to the 500m high Jinbar waterfall.
- Admire the scenery and keep an eye out for wildlife like klipspringers and mini bushbucks.
- If lucky, catch a glimpse of the elusive leopards known to inhabit the area.
- Encounter the charming gelada baboons that are often seen in the region.
- Enjoy lunch by the waterfall before being picked up by a 4×4 vehicle.
- Drive back to Gondar, concluding the trek.
