These terms and conditions apply to all trips/tours organized by Lucy Ethiopia Tours. Please, read the following terms and conditions carefully;
Bookings
This Contract will be valid resultant Lucy Ethiopia Tours’ confirmation of the booking by e-mail or telephone. Booking information may include the full client’s name, age, Nationality, sex, and other technical information related to reservation which might help with services provided such as flight booking and hotel reservation.
Deposit and Payment
Deposits are normally 20% of the total tour cost and are payable at the time of booking with a Credit Card, PayPal, or direct bank transfer. The remaining payment should be done before the commencement of any trip.
Cancellations
Cancellation of tour bookings must be made in writing and received by Lucy Ethiopia Tours. More than 45 days before arrival for a full refund of the deposit. Otherwise, it will be the following charges; Air penalties are not part of the percentages below and vary based on the airline policy at the time of ticket issue.
- 45+ Days Prior: No penalty for deposit
- (Except for 500.00 ETB per person for Air ticket penalty).
- 30 to 45 Days Prior: 75% refund of tour cost
- 20-30 Days Prior: 50% refund of tour cost
- 10-20 Days Prior: 25% refund of tour cost
- 10 Days prior or less no refund will be made.
Arrangements
All ground arrangements, such as flight bookings, hotel reservations, car hire, etc. are to be made by Lucy Ethiopia Tours on behalf of its clients. Unless stated, these arrangements will be subject to the booking conditions and cancellation provisions of the third-party supplier involved if any.
Amendment of the program
Each of the company staff is responsible and takes every care to ensure that itineraries are followed completely. However, unexpected circumstances (natural disasters, security problems, temporary restrictions by local authorities, etc) may necessitate changes and the Service Provider accepts no liability due to such alterations of routes or substitution of properties. Where properties are substituted, they will be substituted for equal.
Responsibility
These tour programs are operated by Lucy Ethiopia Tours. The company’s responsibility and liability will be limited only by the laws of the Ethiopian government. Also, all claims are subject to the authority of the court of Ethiopia in which cause of action arises. The company provides tour packages, accommodation, admission, and transportation services. Lucy Ethiopia Tours in its sole discretion to make changes in the itinerary and is not responsible for expenses, loss of time, money, or other incidents resulting from a change of tour scheduling made for tour members, including any rescheduling due to political unrest. Lucy Ethiopia Tours is not responsible for any losses or damages of personal property, injuries, death, or additional costs incurred due to denied overbooking, cancellation, or delay caused by third parties.
Special Requests
If you have a special request (including dietary requirements), we will do our best to help, but we cannot guarantee it except as set out above requirements. We promise to comply with any special request that we have specifically agreed to and confirmed in writing.
Insurance
Lucy Ethiopia Tours strongly suggests purchasing a travel insurance plan. Be sure to check your health insurance provider as many medical center coverage procedures may not cover you outside of the country. Vehicle insurance and governmental tax are included in the total tour cost.
If you have a complaint
If you have cause for complaint even as on the trip, you must bring it to the attention of our staff immediately. Our operators will do their best to rectify the situation.
