Day 1: Mekele to Hamed Ela

Drive to Hamed Ela, passing through rugged landscapes and desert scenery along the way. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodations and prepare for the unique experiences that await you in the Danakil. Overnight camping in Hamed Ela.

Day 2: Hamed Ela to Dallol and Salt Mines
Wake up early to explore the otherworldly landscapes of the Danakil Depression. Visit the colorful hydrothermal fields of Dallol, where you’ll witness bubbling sulfur springs, multicolored mineral deposits, and geysers shooting boiling water into the air. Day 3: Hamed Ela to Mekele

Arrive in Mekele by midday, where you’ll bid farewell to your guide and conclude your Danakil adventure.
