Day 1: Addis- Gondar
You will fly (9;50-11;00 am) pick up from airport or hotel and start visiting the main attractions of the city. In the morning, visit the oldest and the most impressive Gonderine structure, the magnificent castle compound including the two-storied palace of emperor Fasiladas and the emperor bath where Orthodox Christian celebrate Ethiopian Epiphany on the 19th of January.
After lunchyou will visit the fantastically decorated Debre Brehan Silassie Church (light of Trinity), if time permits, also visit the ruined palace of Queen Mintiwab at Qusquam, were the Scottish explorer James Bruce used to reside for sometimes. Then transfer to your hotel. o/n at Gondar hills resort
Day 2: Drive From Gonder to Sankabor, Walk 2-3 hrs around Sankabor – Gondar
Drive from Gondar to Sankaber about 136km away. you will observe the splendid landscape and different kinds of flowers and trees. There is also a possibility to see a klipspringer and mini bushbuck. There are leopards in the area but they are rarely seen, however maybe you’ll be one of the lucky ones! Of course the delightful gelada baboons are always around. After lunch by the waterfall the 4×4 picks us up to drive back to Gondar .

Day 3: Gondar- Bahirdar
After about 3hrs drive, to bahirdar, After lunch, Take a boat trip on on Lake Tana, Ethiopia’s largest lake, to visit the monastery churches of Ura Kidane Mihret, Kibran Gebriel and Debre Maryam. o/n at Jackaranda Hotel.
Day 4: Bahirdar- Lalibela
It will take you about 4-5 hrs drive through the stunning landscape and visit the the group of lalibela churches. o/n at mountain view hotel.
Day 5: Lalibela- Addis Abeba
Visit the the second group of lalibela churches and fly back to addis . This afternoon, you will have a free time to visit the city around your hotel. over night at blue bird hotel.
Day 6: Addis -Semera – Hamedela
You will fly (depart @ 7;00 am-8;00 am) from addis to Semera, and You will drive about 6-7 hrs to reach Hamed ela on the way, you will stop at lake afdera for lunch and may be even swim a bit. In the next camping village in this evening we will visit lake Asale with with salt flats and having wine or beer drink in the stunning place while you are swimming in salt lake. o/n open air camping at hamedela
Day 7: Dalol- Erta ale (volcano)
After breakfast, you will drive to the colorful attractions of dalol which is located at -125 below sea level. Here you will visit the difference landscape formed by volcanic activity, Dallol + Lake Assal + camel caravans. Excursion to Dallol (116 meter below sea level, one of the lowest places in the world) colorful salts mining. After we visit all the attraction, continue driving to Erta Ale which ranks one of the most alluring and physically challenging natural attractions anywhere in Ethiopia.
It is a shield volcano with a base diameter of 30 km and 1km square caldera at its summit. Erta Ale contains the world’s only permanent lava lake. It is 613 meters altitude, with a lava lake, The drive may take about 4 hrs passing through changing landscape of solidified lava rock and sand After passing several small hamlets scattered here and there in this deserted land, you will arrive to Erta Ale camping site,. After a short break and early dinner, just before the sunset we will trek for about 1 hr to Ertale , where we spend few hrs watching the dramatic action of the boiling lava. And you will trek back to basic camp basement to spend the night, and sleeping under stars).
Day 8: Ertale-Semera
Early morning, you visit boling lava again and after breakfast drive to Afdera . And from afdera, in lake afdrea, you will swim in the salty lake and take bath at the hot springs pool tool. After lunch drive all the way asphalt road to semera for about 3:30 hrs to semera. airport. o/n at kuriftu resort.
Day 9: Semera – Addis ( city tour)
After breakfast ,you will fly from Semera to Addis. And You’ll start the day looking down on Addis Ababa from Entoto Mountain , which was the capital of Ethiopia before Addis Ababa. Here you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city and breathe in fresh air from the eucalyptus forests.
There will be an opportunity to visit the Entoto Maryam Church and Museum. Next we’ll proceed down into bustiling Addis Ababa via Shiro Meda , the city’s largest market, where you can shop for souvenirs and traditional clothes, and barter with the locals.
We continue our tour to the campus of the Addis Ababa University, then on to
the Ethnological Museum , which has interesting displays from the many cultures of Ethiopia and is housed in the former palace of Haile Selassie.
Next is a visit to the National Museum , where Ethiopia’s oldest resident, ‘Lucy’ , is housed as well as many other interesting artefacts and displays from Ethiopia’s rich past.
Our tour continues to the Selassie (Trinity) Church, one of the most important
churches in Addis Ababa and the final resting place of Haile Selassie, to whom
there is a dedicated museum on site.
Finally, we finish the day with shopping in Merkato , the local marketplace which is said to be Africa’s largest open-air market. In the evening, I would be happy to offer you a farewell dinner with traditional dancing show. In the we drive you to airport.
